In 2007, Kevin Keller became the CEO of the U.S. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. And he was the seventh exec to tackle the position in almost as many years.
As a result of its constantly revolving leadership up to that point, reports FinancialPlaning.com, the organization only had a limited number of staff members and “was facing a crisis of confidence among many planners in the industry.”
But things have changed, says Keller. In a series of interviews with Financial Planning, he talks about how the organization plans to grow the number of advisors aiming for the designation. He also wants to dispel the myths surrounding the process of earning it. Read more.
