HQBroker is not registered to sell securities in Ontario, warns OSC in a release, following a similar alert from the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong in March.

HQBroker, says OSC, “[…] manages the website hqbroker.com, where it claims to offer a variety of trading solutions to retail and institutional investors through contracts for difference, derivatives and forex currency pairs.”

The commission says in the release that the company is “actively soliciting Ontarians using an Ontario phone number.” If contacted, it suggests investors reach out to the OSC Inquiries and Contact Centre (1-877-785-1555 or inquiries@osc.gov.on.ca).
