AGF has launched a global convertible bond fund that aims to help investors participate in rising equity markets.

Convertible bonds are hybrid debt instruments that provide enhanced return potential versus conventional bonds, says AGF. The funds also offer downside protection, and are less interest-rate sensitive than other traditional fixed-income instruments.

The new fund will be managed by David Stonehouse, vice-president and portfolio manager of Acuity Investment Management, as well as by the broader AGF Fixed Income Team.
