With barbecue season in full swing, you and your clients can expect to pay more than ever for foods that are commonly consumed at a barbecue.

In fact, Bloomberg reports U.S. retail prices for these foods, including beef, lettuce and ice cream, climbed 5.1% in May to the highest on record for the month. Read more.

And in Canada, the price of beef is expected to jump 4% to 6% this year, according to CTV News. So red meat lovers may want to buy now and stock up. Or consider grilling more of their favourite veggies.
