Desjardins Investments, manager of the Desjardins funds, has announced management fee cuts for six of the funds as well as portfolio management changes for certain funds. 

Effective July 9, the company will reduce the fees of the six funds to reflect its goal of “offering competitively priced funds,” Desjardins Investments says in a release. For a list of the affected fund units, see the table below.

Other fund changes

Also effective July 9, the following fund management changes will occur:

  • Desjardins Global Asset Management will serve as the sole portfolio manager for the Desjardins Dividend Income Fund;
  • Fiera Capital Corporation will serve as the portfolio sub-manager for the Desjardins Overseas Equity Value Fund and, as such, the name will change to the Desjardins Overseas Equity Fund; and
  • Lazard Asset Management LLC will serve as the portfolio sub-manager for the Desjardins Global Equity Value Fund and the Desjardins Emerging Markets Funds.

While Desjardins Investments says it’s approved changes to each of the investment strategies of the impacted funds, the investment objectives of the impacted funds remain unchanged.
