The Canadian real estate market has reached a turning point, with falling prices and property that won’t sell.
Take Vancouver’s market, which has been one of the strongest in the last decade. It experienced a 14.3% decline in number of homes sold in January, according to the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.
Brothers Jordan and Russ Macnab, who are real estate agents in the city, decided to try something different when it came to a $600,000 one-bedroom apartment that wouldn’t budge. They used a “crib crawl,” reports ft.com.
The marketing idea includes a limo bus stocked with drinks and snacks, and takes potential buyers on a tour of several properties. Though the apartment in question has yet to sell, the crib crawl did create a lot of interest — the Macnabs are planning another next month.
