Standard Life Mutual Funds Ltd., the manager of the Standard Life Mutual Funds, has announced a change to the risk rating associated with investing in the funds listed in the table below.

The Investment Funds Institute of Canada established guidelines for determining risk ratings based primarily upon the variability of returns for a mutual fund. Based on these guidelines, SLMF determined it was prudent to change the risk rating for the following funds in the following manner:

Standard Life Diversified Income Fund Low to Medium Low
Standard Life U.S. Dividend Growth Fund Medium Low to Medium
Standard Life U.S. Dividend Growth Class Medium Low to Medium
Standard Life Canadian Equity Growth Fund Medium to High Medium
Standard Life Canadian Equity Growth Class Medium to High Medium
Standard Life Canadian Equity Value Fund Medium to High Medium
Standard Life Canadian Equity Value Class Medium to High Medium

No material changes have been made to the investment objectives, strategies or management of these funds.
