Before incorporating social media into your marketing strategy, ask yourself a few questions: what language and content will you use? And who will you follow and target?

First, it’s crucial to use plain language and only be funny or witty if it comes naturally. Don’t be afraid to reveal facts about yourself, and be upfront and honest.

But, at the same time, do be wary of the risks of using media; all thoughts and posts are open to the public, and will be scrutinized. Make sure to avoid questionable content and advice, and develop a strategy to deal with negative reactions to your posts.
