Conversation starter – Value investing rewards patience

Ask your clients, “Are you a patient person, or do you prefer immediate results?” Your client may be feeling let down by his recent returns, or perhaps he’s been impressed and wants to double-down on his investments. Remind him of the importance of staying the course, and of truly adhering to the maxim of buying low and selling high.
