By Staff | May 31, 2012 | Last updated on May 31, 2012 1 min read CIBC Asset Management has added American Century Investment Management as a sub-advisor to several of its Imperial pools and funds. American Century is a U.S. investment management firm located in Kansas City, with offices in New York, California, London and Hong Kong. In August 2011, CIBC acquired a minority ownership position in American Century. The U.S. manager’s funds ranked fourth best among its Morningstar peers, and 6% of its assets are placed in funds with four-or five-star ratings. American Century has been appointed as an additional portfolio sub-advisor for the Imperial Overseas Equity Pool and will help manage its international all-cap growth component. The firm will also serve as one of the sub-advisors for the Imperial International Equity Pool. Both are effective July 1, 2012. It’s also been appointed as a sub-advisor for the Renaissance Canadian Balanced Fund and CIBC Balanced Fund, responsible for managing the global component of the both funds.
