First Trust launches dividend ETFs

FT Portfolios Canada Co., a privately owned company and an affiliate of Chicago-based First Trust Portfolios L.P., introduced the first three First Trust AlphaDEXTM Dividend ETFs that start trading Wednesday, May 15 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The new offerings include First Trust AlphaDEXTM Canadian Dividend Plus ETF, First Trust AlphaDEXTM U.S. Dividend Plus ETF (CAD-Hedged) and First Trust AlphaDEXTM Emerging Market Dividend ETF (CAD-Hedged).

“The First Trust AlphaDEXTM Dividend ETF family provides investors with broad market exposure to higher yielding dividend paying stocks across different geographies,” says Fraser Howell, FT Portfolio Canada’s president and chief financial officer.
