Friday Funnies: Inspiration from nature

Seasonality effect

A Manitoba advisor tells us: “One of my first financial planning meetings was going fantastic until I asked my client, ‘How do you plan to spend your time in retirement?’

“She replied, ‘I will be doing a lot of gardening.’

“Being from Winnipeg, I quipped, ‘What will you do for the other six months of the year?’ She looked absolutely shocked as she’d never thought that through.

“All ended well — she realized she could spend more time with her grandkids.”

A different shade of green

One advisor tells us, “My client referred her father to me. During our KYC discussion, I asked what his longer-term goals were. He responded, ‘I don’t even risk buying green bananas!’ “

Needless to say, he’s in low-risk money-market funds, and is quite satisfied.
