LifeAssist has a new equity partner.

It announced today that a U.S.-based private equity firm called River Ranch Capital Partners has taken a stake in the company. River Ranch is led by James M. Morris II, CLU, ChFC and CFP. He’s the former CEO of John Hancock Financial Network.

The investment will allow LifeAssist to triple the size of its core software development team, says Cam Jacox, founder and managing partner of LifeAssist. He adds it will boost its research efforts and work to expand sales throughout North America.
