Mackenzie Investments and Quadrus Investment Services Ltd. have launched a new high-net-worth series along with a new mutual fund.

The firms announced in a release that the series options were designed with high-net-worth (HNW) investors in mind and are available on all funds. The minimum amount required to invest in the series is $500,000.

The main difference between the HNW series and the corresponding retail series is lower fees for the HNW series, said Kevin Hwee, assistant vice-president of funds product design and pricing, wealth solutions at Great-West Life, London Life, Canada Life, in an email to Advisor.ca. The fees vary according to the fund.

Mackenzie and Quadrus also launched the Global All Cap Equity Fund “to provide investors with a unit trust mutual fund option for the equivalent corporate class option already available,” added the release.

The series and the fund will be available as of Aug. 7, 2018.

Changes to risk ratings

Changes to the risk ratings for the following Quadrus funds were made to comply with Canadian Securities Administrators’ Risk Classification Methodology. The investment objectives or strategies were not changed for the funds.
