Mackenzie shuffles portfolio managers

Mackenzie Investments’ Rick Weed, who is senior vice president and head of Systematic Strategies, will manage Mackenzie’s Global Small Cap Growth Fund, Global Small Cap Growth Class and Growth funds starting January 1.

Chuck Bastyr, vice president and portfolio manager, will be leaving Mackenzie on December 31 to pursue other opportunities.

JP Morgan Asset Management’s Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team is now portfolio manager for Mackenzie Emerging Markets Opportunities Class and Mackenzie Emerging Markets Opportunities Fund with Austin Forey and Leon Eidelman as the lead portfolio managers. Konstantin Boehmer, vice-president and portfolio manager, will assume portfolio management responsibilities for Mackenzie Asian Bond Fund and a portion of Symmetry Global Bond Fund.
