McDonald's opens in Vietnam, offers McPork burgers

McDonald’s has opened its first restaurant in Vietnam; the 24-hour drive-thru location is also the first of its kind in the country.

“Our commitment in [that] part of the world is…to deliver a modern and exciting restaurant experience,” says said Don Thompson, McDonald’s President and CEO.

Along with its usual fare, the new restaurant—the company’s 10,000^th location—will offer McDonald’s line of McPork burgers. They were created to reflect local Vietnamese tastes.
