MFDA offers online education to investors

To celebrate Investor Education Month, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada has added an investor education section to its website.

At the new hub, investors can find information about mutual funds and their fees, as well as get tips on how to read FundFacts documents. They can also check an advisor’s registration and discipline history, and get advice on avoiding scams.

“Investor education is a key component of the MFDA’s investor protection mandate,” says said MFDA president and CEO Mark Gordon.

To help older investors, the MFDA has also launched a hub for seniors, which includes extra help the association offers to this group.
