The fund will invest in niche asset classes, such as equity real estate and infrastructure, opportunistic credit, and private equity strategies. “The fund [will help] endowments and foundations diversify their portfolios, […] on the heels of some important regulatory changes,” says Rob Boston, partner with Morneau Shepell Asset & Risk Management Recently, he adds, CRA modified a regulation so that endowments and foundations can now participate in the legal structure necessary to take part in investments such as this new fund.
