The Ontario Securities Commission is looking for new Registrant Advisory Committee (RAC) members.

The OSC’s RAC discusses issues and challenges faced by registrants in interpreting and complying with Ontario securities law, including registration and compliance-related matters. The Committee also plays a consultative role by providing feedback to the OSC on the development and implementation of policy and rulemaking initiatives.

Established in 2012, the RAC meets approximately four times per year, with additional meetings as required. The Committee consists of 10 to 12 members who represent the different registration categories and business models overseen by the OSC. Membership terms for the RAC are for 24 months, at which point OSC reviews memberships.

The RAC is chaired by Debra Foubert, director of Compliance and Registrant Regulation.

Those who would like to apply for membership should submit their resumes, indicating their relevant experience, by October 24, 2016 to compliance@osc.gov.on.ca.
