Sleeping German banker makes multi-million euro mistake

But it’s best to steer clear of your keyboard or risk the same fate as one German bank employee, who fell asleep and accidentally transferred millions of euros from an account belonging to a retiree client.

The employee, who was supposed to transfer €62.40, ended up pressing the number 2 button repeatedly after he passed out and ended up withdrawing €222,222,222.22 instead, reports BBC.

Although the bank fixed the error, the supervisor on duty was fired. But a German court ruled she should have her job back since it was an honest mistake.
