The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) says taxpayers grappling with natural disasters will have access to its taxpayer relief provisions if they are unable to meet their tax obligations.

A notice on its website assures those affected by spring flooding will be offered relief if they can’t file their returns and pay any balances owing before April 30.

Business owners and self-employed individuals who were unable to meet their filing and payment obligations are also eligible for relief.
