TD Insurance has launched a direct-to-consumer insurance service for high-net-worth clients, the firm said on Wednesday.

TD Insurance Private Client Advice will provide affluent clients with services such as property, yacht and cross-border insurance, as well as coverage for valuables such as wine and art.

“Many Canadians who require customized insurance protection have been underserved and, as a result, underinsured,” said James Russell, president and CEO of TD Insurance, in a release.

The new Private Client Advice will “remove the complexity of understanding and purchasing multiple insurance products from different insurers that can unintentionally create gaps between needs and coverage, leaving people at risk,” he said.

Clients will work with experienced insurance advisors, as well as be provided with goals-based financial plan discussions, the release said.
