Should clients get involved in equity crowdfunding?

Since 2010, equity crowdfunding has been legal in regions such as Europe, Australia and Israel. But it’s only starting to catch on in North America, reports Canadian Business.

“[In 2013], Saskatchewan was the first province to formally recognize this web-enabled alternative to traditional venture capital or private equity fundraising.” And now, “Regulatory changes set to take effect on January 25, 2016, will legitimize equity crowdfunding in Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.”
