Life expectancy for Canadians varies regionally.

  • Annual mortality rates are higher in the most rural areas (those with no commuters) than in urban areas.
  • Conversely, the Aboriginal population has a much lower life expectancy than the total Canadian population: at least five years lower.
  • 84 longest lifespan for a Canadian woman (British Columbia)
  • 79 longest lifespan for a Canadian man (Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia)
