Retirees who travel are healthier, says new research by the Global Coalition of Aging.

As MarketWatch reports, the coalition finds those who plan to travel maintain healthy habits. The bonus is taking vacations has significant mental and physical benefits.

Though most people think taking trips only helps in the short term, adds MarketWatch, taking time out to relax at least once a year reduces the risk of conditions such as heart disease. Read more.
