Monitoring digital risks crucial for businesses

Cyber breaches have serious consequences for businesses, so firms must actively monitor how customer data is collected, used and accessed.

In fact, doing so has become more important for businesses over the last decade, said AT&T’s chief security information officer, Ed Amoroso, during a recent interview with Financial Times.

He adds more companies hiring security officers, and says these officers are now expected to have more advanced technical knowledge and skills. That’s because technology is now “so complex and pervasive.”
