Wealth industry slow to embrace social media

The wealth management industry has been slower than most in picking up on the value of collaborative spaces and participatory tools.

Some financial institutions still see social and mobile platforms as ‘new and unknown’ media, but experiences in other industries surely now belie that observation.

Among the more serious reasons for the slower pick-up are operational and compliance issues. Of course, app security and data integrity is a big concern.
