ETF series units of the BMO Tactical Dividend ETF Fund began trading Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the company said in a release.

The actively managed fund is focused on dividend-paying ETFs and short-term strategies, the release said.

“With today’s volatile markets, repositioning investments and risk management is more important than ever,” said Mark Raes, BMO Global Asset Management’s head of product, in a statement, explaining that the fund can tilt aggressively or defensively depending on the markets.

The fund is sub-advised by Larry Berman of ETF Capital Management.

The BMO Tactical Dividend ETF Fund Series A won Best Mutual Fund in the Tactical Balanced Space over Three Years category at the 2018 Thomson Reuters Lipper Fund Awards.
