Horizons Exchange Traded Funds and AlphaPro Management have launched a new series of ETFs designed for distribution through the advisor channel.

“Horizons ETFs has always believed that the majority of investors benefit from professional advice offered through a financial advisor and that advice deserves compensation,” said Howard Atkinson, CEO of Horizons ETFs. “These Advisor Classes offer investment professionals a degree of flexibility that may work better for a segment of their clientele or business model

The new series of four Advisor Class ETFs pay an annual service fee of 75 basis points, paid out on a quarterly basis. The collection includes: the Horizons Enhanced Equity Income, Horizons Enhanced Income Financials, Horizons Enhanced Income Energy and Horizons Enhanced Income Gold Producers ETFs.

These trade under the same tickers as the non-advisor class, with a “.A” extension. For example the Advisor Class Horizons Enhanced Equity Income ETF will trade as “HEX.A”.

Atkinson says the company plans to roll out additional Advisor Class ETFs.
