Equisoft and Canada Gives have created a philanthropy centre to help advisors work with high-net-worth clients on their charitable giving.

Philanthropy is expected to become a growing concern for financial advisors as more high-net-worth clients enter the phase of life when they’re making philanthropic bequests. The two organizations developed a gift-giving planning tool for wealthy clients that can be found on Equisoft’s WealthElements financial planning platform, a release said.

“As philanthropy becomes increasingly important to aging clients, this new WealthElements module will help advisors begin the critical discussion around philanthropy and more easily create a legacy of charitable giving for their wealthy clients,” said Canada Gives executive director Denise Castonguay in a release.

“In our efforts to continually evolve the WealthElements platform to better serve the needs of financial professionals, we felt the addition of functionality designed to facilitate the client-advisor discussions around charitable giving was a natural fit,” said Jonathan Georges, vice-president of wealth management solutions at Equisoft, in the same release.
