The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has named several industry veterans to its advisory committee on the mining sector.

The committee provides the regulator with input on policy issues in the mining sector, particularly financing and continuing disclosure issues for mining companies and projects.

Members of the committee include representatives from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec and Québec-focused investment fund SIDEX, along with representatives from several mining companies, consultants and law firm Norton Rose Fulbright.

The committee’s members serve three-year terms.
