The Alberta Securities Commission has appointed Kari Horn as its new vice-chair.

Horn will also serve as a member of the commission. Members act as the ASC’s board of directors, overseeing the management of the commission as well as considering and approving changes to Alberta securities laws.

Horn was previously part of the ASC’s senior management team as general counsel. She will serve as vice-chair until April 30, 2024
