Aviso appoints new head of online brokerage and digital wealth

Toronto-based Aviso Wealth announced on Wednesday it has appointed Christine Zalzal senior vice president, head of online brokerage and digital wealth.

In her new role, Zalzal will oversee the firm’s online brokerage and robo-advisor businesses, Qtrade Investor and VirtualWealth, respectively. 

Zalzal brings extensive experience in the financial services industry to the position, having held senior leadership roles at RBC, Laurentian Bank, FirstOntario Credit Union and, most recently, Scotia iTRADE.

“Christine’s depth of experience and expertise make her an ideal addition to our executive leadership team,” Bill Packham, president and CEO of Aviso Wealth, said in a release.
