Catherine Wood named chair of Advocis board

Financial advisor association Advocis has appointed Catherine Wood as chair of the board of directors.

Wood, the chief of strategy, product and marketing at Coast Capital Savings in Toronto, takes over from Rob Eby.

Prior to joining Coast Capital in 2019, Wood held senior roles at Aviso, Qtrade, TD Bank and Assante.

“Having been a member of Advocis for 20 years, it’s both humbling and exciting to accept the responsibilities that come with this leadership position,” Wood said in a release.
