CI Financial’s AUM grew 17.1% over last year

CI Financial Corp.’s preliminary assets under management were at $140.9 billion as of Feb. 28, it reported Friday, while total assets were at $183.6 billion.

In a release, the firm says that assets under management grew by $20.6 billion, or 17.1%, year over year, and decreased 1.5% in the month of February. Total assets gained $24.1 billion, or 15.1%, for the 12-month period, and decreased by 1.3% in the month of February.

CI also reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $42.7 billion, as at Feb. 28. That represents an increase of $3.5 billion, or 8.9%, year over year, the release says.

CI will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders on June 18 in Toronto.
