The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) has appointed Laura Belloni as secretary general, effective Sept. 17.

As secretary general, Belloni will be responsible for managing and supervising the activities of the secretariat and will coordinate the implementation of CSA’s strategic plan.

Belloni replaces Kim Lachapelle, who was recently appointed vice-president of strategy, risks and performance at the Autorité des marchés financiers.

Before taking on this role, Belloni served as manager of regulatory affairs and policy manager at CSA for 10 years.
