The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has hired a chief administrative officer.

The regulator said Friday that Deana Djurdjevic will serve in the newly created role overseeing its corporate operations.

Djurdjevic, who was previously with the new Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), joins the OSC on Dec. 16.

“Deana has extensive experience building, leading and transforming businesses and teams,” said Maureen Jensen, OSC chair and CEO, in a statement.

“Deana’s deep understanding of the capital markets and her expertise introducing innovative business models, technology and regulations will help the OSC continue to be a modern securities regulator.”
