Empire Life Insurance Company has introduced Simplified 10 and Simplified 20 term-life insurance products.

The policies are designed for online sales directly to Canadians, and people can access them directly or through participating advisor websites.

The company says recent consumer research finds 69% of consumers use the internet to research life insurance options, and “we’re finding there are a growing number of consumers who also want to purchase online,” says Sean Kilburn, senior vice president of Retail.

Eligible consumers will now be able to apply for Simplified 10 or Simplified 20 term-life insurance online. And, Empire Life has simultaneously launched a program that enables licensed insurance advisors, via their own personal websites, to direct clients to the company’s online insurance applications.
