Each week, Advisor’s Edge summarizes notable management shifts across the financial and wealth management industry.

  • Real estate investment firm Trez Capital, based in Vancouver, has named Dean Kirkham as president. Kirkham joined the firm in 2016 as chief credit officer and became COO in 2020, and he previously worked at Bank of Montreal for 12 years in various executive roles. He’ll remain as COO and also focus on corporate strategy as president.
  • The Canadian Bankers Association has appointed Lucie Blanchet as head of its executive council, effective immediately and for a two-year term. Blanchet has been executive vice-president of personal banking and client experience with National Bank of Canada for nearly four years, and has been with that institution for nearly 20.
  • Sean Pasternak, most recently the assistant vice-president of global communications with Manulife for nearly four years out of his 12 at the firm, has moved to global IT services firm DXC Technology. With the Ashburn, Virginia–based firm, he’s head of global external communications.
