Fengate Asset Management has named Jaime McKenna managing director and group head, real estate.

The Toronto-based alternative investment manager announced in a release that McKenna, who brings 20 years of professional business experience to the role, joined the firm on Monday.

“We are delighted to welcome Jaime to Fengate and her arrival further strengthens the significant talent and drive of our team,” Fengate president and CEO Lou Serafini Jr. said in the release.

Prior to joining Fengate, McKenna was chief investment officer of Minto Apartment REIT. She was part of the executive team that led Minto Apartment REIT’s initial public offering, as well as the follow-on equity offering in April 2019, Fengate said.

In her new role, McKenna joins Fengate’s executive team and will divide her time between the firm’s Toronto and Oakville, Ont., offices.

Fengate is an alternative investment manager focused on infrastructure, private equity and real estate strategies.
