Montreal-based Fiera Capital Corporation has appointed Michael Quigley as executive vice president and head of institutional markets.

Quigley’s new role will involve optimizing and implementing the institutional distribution strategy for Fiera’s Canadian division, the firm said in a release.

With more than 30 years of experience in the investment management industry, Quigley has developed a network across pension plans, foundations, endowments and investment consultants in Canada and the United States, the release said.

Prior to joining Fiera, Quigley led Hager & North’s institutional business development team across Canada. He also served as vice chairman and senior vice president, distribution, for Natcan Investment Management.

“Michael brings a deep understanding of the institutional business environment and extensive knowledge of both traditional and alternative asset classes, and we are thrilled he has joined Fiera Capital to lead the evolution of the Institutional Markets team,” Jean-Philippe Lemay, president and chief operating officer of Fiera’s Canadian division, said in a statement.
