FP Canada has named the top scorers of the qualified associate financial planner (QAFP) exam from June.

In a release on Thursday, the certification body said the following candidates earned the QAFP Exam Award of Merit:

  • First place: Jordan Arndt, Enns & Baxter Wealth Management in Saskatoon, Sask.
  • Second-place tie: Andrew Milne, Courneya Group in Ancaster, Ont. and Jennifer Roblin, Keybase Financial Group’s Starview Financial Advisors in Orangeville, Ont.

“I would like to commend Jordan, Andrew, and Jennifer on their impressive performances on the QAFP exam,” Tashia Batstone, FP Canada’s president and CEO, said in the release. “We at FP Canada wish you the best of luck, and we look forward to following your future success in financial planning profession.”

The number of QAFP exam writers at recent sittings began to dwindle after a two-year post-secondary diploma became a prerequisite for the designation on April 1, 2022.

That prereq has since been dropped for certain candidates. Earlier this month, FP Canada said those who don’t have a diploma can qualify for QAFP certification if they have five years’ qualifying work experience, effective April 2024.
