FP Canada recognizes top marks in latest QAFP exam

Carte Wealth Management’s John Baynham has bragging rights for earning top marks in the latest round of qualified associate financial planner (QAFP) exams.

Baynham, president and financial planner with Retirement Income Group, part of Carte Financial Group in Ajax, Ont., led the list of FP Canada’s QAFP Exam Award of Merit recipients for the February exam sitting.

Amerigo Tino, a financial planner with Sun Life Financial in Grande Prairie, Alta., was second place. Tied for the third-highest marks were Kjol Bjordal and Vincent Pearson, both consultants with IG Wealth Management.

A total of 384 candidates wrote the February exam, which had a pass rate of 59.4%.
