Franklin Templeton Canada has appointed Dean Liotta as senior vice-president of consultant relations.

Liotta will be responsible for expanding the firm’s business within the institutional pension and asset consultant community in Canada, a Friday release said.

The industry veteran joined Franklin Templeton in 2011 as vice-president of institutional investment services. Prior to that, Liotta served as a senior consultant with another financial institution. He has over two decades of investment industry experience.

“Drawing on his background in investment consulting and his history of working alongside consultants nationally, Dean brings an exceptionally strong technical and client service approach to understanding the needs and priorities of consultants and their clients,” said Bill Tsotsos, Franklin Templeton Canada’s head of Institutional, in a statement.
