Toronto-based Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. (Franklin Templeton Investments Canada) has introduced a new embedded fee series with preferred pricing, the company announced Friday.

Clients will be automatically switched to Series PA, PA (Hedged), PT and PT-USD from Series A, A (Hedged), T and T-USD if they meet the minimum investment criteria of $200,000, Franklin Templeton says in a news release.

Clients will also be able to link their accounts to those of relatives not in their households, which might allow them to meet this minimum more quickly, Franklin Templeton says.

“We continue to look for ways to simplify our pricing structure,” Duane Green, president and CEO, Franklin Templeton Investments Canada, says in a statement. “This new preferred pricing ensures that commission-based advisors always have their clients in the lowest priced option that they qualify for.”

Clients who are automatically switched into a preferred series from its respective retail series will not receive a Fund Facts.
