Goldman encouraging analysts to take weekends off

As part of a push to improve working conditions for its junior analysts, Goldman Sachs is discouraging them from working weekends, reports Reuters.

The company has struck a “junior banker task force” to look at improving analysts’ work environments and career development.

This and other changes are also meant to help the company retain top talent, instead of having them poached by other firms. The problem isn’t unique to Goldman, Reuters adds.
