Government may limit aid to dual citizens

The Conservative government may limit consular assistance for dual-citizenship Canadians “who travel on a foreign passport or…who live outside the country for…long periods of time,” reports The Globe and Mail.

It adds senior bureaucrats have recommended the change since they have scarce resources to manage, and the federal government is still looking to reduce Canada’s deficit by 2015. Read more.
