Great-West Lifeco appoints EVP for global real estate platform

Great-West Lifeco Inc. has appointed Paul Finkbeiner to the newly-created position of executive vice-president, global head of real estate, effective immediately.

“He will work closely with regional leaders to set a strategic direction and deliver on investment goals across a diverse global real estate investment platform,” the firm said in a release. “In addition, he will provide leadership and coordination in building out the global real estate investment business for third-party investors.”

In his new position, Finkbeiner will report to Raman Srivastava, the executive vice-president and global chief investment officer at Great-West Lifeco.

Finkbeiner was previously the president at GWL Realty Advisors Inc. (GWLRA). He has more than 30 years of real estate experience and joined the organization more than 20 years ago, the release said.

Ralf Dost has also been appointed as the president of GWLRA.

Great-West Lifeco manages approximately $25 billion in global real estate assets, the release said.
