Guardian Capital announces new head of retail asset management

Toronto-based Guardian Capital Group Ltd. announced Barry Gordon has joined its investment subsidiary, Guardian Capital LP, as managing director and head of retail asset management.

An industry veteran, Gordon brings more than 20 years of experience in retail asset management to the role.

In a release, Guardian said Gordon has been successful in building business in numerous asset classes, as well as addressing demands from retail investors by developing successful investment vehicle solutions.

Effective Monday, Gordon will assume his new role in Guardian’s Toronto office.

“We are very pleased to have someone of Barry’s experience joining our Asset Management business, and look forward to his contributions. His energy and passion for building solutions to serve the needs of financial advisors is a welcome addition to our Group,” said George Mavroudis, Guardian’s president and chief executive officer.
