Toronto-based Horizons ETFs Management (Canada) Inc. has added its first fixed-income liquid alternative fund to its product shelf.

The Horizons Tactical Absolute Return Bond ETF aims to offer positive absolute returns with low volatility over a market cycle regardless of market conditions. To do this, the fund takes long and short positions in North American and global debt instruments and derivatives across the credit spectrum.

The fund is available in two series: Total Return Series shares (Ticker: HARB) and Dividend Series shares (Ticker: HARBJ). The dividend series seeks to provide investors with consistent income.

The ETF, which has a management fee of 0.75%, is sub-advised by Toronto-based DMAT Capital Management Inc., a boutique portfolio management firm. Both series of the fund are now trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
